The Committee has a limited budget available to assist congregations with the purchase of property and the construction or expansion of a worship venue (not manses or secondary halls). We will not help with maintenance repairs, but may help with repairs after a disaster like storm or fire.
The Presbytery must approve the application made by a congregation who must supply a motivation which should include:
- Rough Sketches. (Not architect drawings – just give us an idea of what you are doing) Maybe even a photo or two.
- An Estimate of Costs so that the committee has some idea of the scope of your plan.
- and some indication of how the congregation intends getting the work done.
When the application is successful, the Presbytery will be informed and the money paid directly to the congregation.
Amounts are usually in the region of R15,000.
